We are a collective of language teachers who desire to share our passion for the Spanish language with you. We strive to provide an ideal balance between strong language instruction, cultural experiences, and the practice of communication that binds them together.
We offer the opportunity to enjoy learning a language despite it naturally being a difficult endeavor. We are here to help you through the entire process. In addition to lessons, you will experience the mercados, cascadas, and all that Otavalo and the area has to offer. Our professors work collaboratively to ensure the best learning experience possible.
Some students are interested in homestays to maximize their educational and cultural experience. We are happy to arrange that for you. More information is available on the PRICES page.
We also lead and arrange excursions throughout the region, a land filled with beautiful lakes, old churches, colonial plazas, volcanoes, interesting museums, tasty restaurants, and often a unique and fun festival in one of the numerous pueblos found throughout the beautiful countryside. Our TOURS page offers more information on options and pricing.

Our school is located in the heart of Otavalo only two blocks from the beautiful, historic central plaza. It is also possible for us to meet up for language classes at a local coffeeshop—whatever you prefer! At our school we have four rooms for language instruction, allowing for plenty of space for different size classes and one-on-one lessons. Also there is a kitchen where we will often prepare tea or coffee. Other times we’ll prepare local foods.
Language learning is a multi-dimensional endeavor involving classroom instruction, conversation, reading comprehension, and practice out on the street. We utilize every method here at Otavalo Learning & Adventure; in fact, we pride ourselves on our flexibility and adaptability in meeting the specific needs of our students.
